Hello everyone, my name is Dustin and I would like to introduce you to Christopher Moya. In 2017 Chris was diagnosed with a rare benign tumor in his knee called giant cell tumor. He underwent surgical intervention to remove it at the University of Washington. While the removal of the tumor was successful, this last September it was discovered that it had spread to both of his lungs and had become malignant. He was officially diagnosed with lung cancer this month in October. I wanted to share his story with the community and to let him know he will not be fighting this alone. Chris has been employed at Grandview Dairy Queen since 2011. During this time not only has he become my best friend, but one of the most genuine and nicest people I have ever met. While there is no standard of care based on how rare his tumors are, treatment options will include 2 newer types of immunotherapy, and or a drug called denuosamab along with chemo/radiation. These funds will not only help with his medical expenses but also his family and travel. He will soon have to decide to either take an experimental approach to his treatment here in Washington State where he currently works and lives, or back in New York where most of his family are located. Any donations no matter how small will have a huge impact. Thank you.
