Chris Motta Memorial Fund

Our friend and colleague Chris Motta passed away Friday, December 15th, 2017 in Miami, Florida from a heart attack.  Chris, a United States Navy Veteran and twice-recipient of the Navy Achievement Medal, spent the last ten plus years of his life passionately advocating for the improved safety and survivability of our war fighters.  Through these past ten years Chris had the opportunity to meet, befriend and work collaboratively with a multitude of military and industry stakeholders alike.  All who knew him respected Chris's passion and the integrity by which he conducted himself.   This all culminated in Chris's election to the President of the SAFE Association this past October.   

Chris was taken from us all too soon and is and will be sorely missed by all that knew him.  He is survived by his wife Candace, son Connor, daughters Megan and Jessica.  Chris found his happiness late in life and thrived as a family man.  This memorial fund will be to the benefit of Chris's son, Connor's future education.  Chris was always impressed with "his little buddy’s" maturity and intelligence well beyond his years and would be happy to know his friends were helping to look after the family he was forced to leave behind.  All donated funds will be administered by Chris's wife, Candace Motta.
