Chris Martin Cancer Benefit

Chris Martin is a local firefighter who is fighting a battle tougher than any fire he's ever faced.  He was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer in early 2017.  The cancer wasn't found until it was already diagnosed as stage four and he is currently undergoing both chemo and radiation.  Not only has he dedicated his life to help others in need, he is also a loving father and husband.  Because of the daily treatments he is not able to be at work.  The department, his family, and friends are doing everything posible to make sure he gets the treatments he needs to save his life.  We are now asking any and everybody to give anything they can to save the life of an East Moline hero.  We know that everyone has their own personal stuggles, and finances are many times the majority of them. However, no struggle compares to the battle Chris is currently facing.  Whether you can give $1 or $100, every little bit helps.  The money raised will 100% be going to help Chris and his family with treatments, and anything they need during this trying time.

My name is Kyle DuPrey. I'm the creator of the campaign page, but I'm acting as a representative for Firefighter's Union Local 929 who, among its members, decided to put on this benefit for Chris. The funds will be donated directly to the Martin family after the benefit on November 11th. They will be spent however Chris and his family decide to disperse them based on their needs in this trying time. After Nov 11th I will be withdrawing the funds so that they can be combined with the funds raised from the benefit, the prizes we'll have there, and the personal donations from the East Moline Firefighters and given to Chris as a lump sum.
