Chris Marshall's Battle to Beat Cancer

Christopher Marshall, at 21 years old, is engaged in the battle of his young life...against cancer! In early December 2018, what had been diagnosed as a persistent cough led to an abnormal chest x-Ray. Shockingly, subsequent blood work and CAT scan revealed Chris has lymphoma, an aggressive form of cancer, in his chest. Currently, and for the next few months, Chris will be undergoing chemotherapy treatments/testing at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in an attempt to shrink the large mass and determine next steps. Chris has not allowed himself to succumb to fear, but instead has adopted an inspiring positive attitude, an encouraging and bright spirit and a goal-oriented focus on the future God has planned for him, however, he needs our help.

A few years ago, in October 2015, Chris' dad, Robert R. Marshall, Jr. died unexpectedly at age 50, leaving Chris' mom, Linda Marshall, suddenly a widow with three young sons, all living at home. Since Bob's death Linda has done an amazing job of supporting her boys on a small salary but the medical expenses for Chris will far exceed what Linda is capable of managing. The insurance deductible alone is expected to be $10,000. 

Please consider how you could help alleviate the stress of this financial crisis so Linda can focus on caring for Chris while continuing to work. Chris has taken a leave of absence from his job and plans to continue to pursue an Associates Degree at Harford Community College and graduate in May 2019. Would you please pray for and encourage Chris as he struggles against chemo side effects while striving to achieve his goals and beat this disease!
