On September 21st Chris Malen, a beloved father & wonderful friend, unexpectedly passed away. His two daughters, Kelsey and Kylee & their mother Kari are devastated. They are so very grateful and overwhelmed with the outpouring of love and support from everyone.

"Earlier this week I unexpectedly lost my dad due to a heart attack. I don’t even know where to begin. Or what to even say. No words will ever express the pain I am feeling losing my dad Chris Malen.

We have been through absolutely everything together. It was always us two against the world here in AZ. My heartache will never go away. I love you so much Dad. Thank you for being the hardest working, funniest joke teller, best friend to everyone around you. And simply thank you for being my dad. My heart with never be the same.

My dad had another family. His work was his everything. I know those who work or had worked at The Door Mill are grieving and I wish I could hug you all. And I will soon. Just know that my dad loved every single one of you. More than you know. I’m so lucky he had such great people in his life who loved him unconditionally. I know he’s looking down on us making jokes already.
