Help Chris Macdonald get to the ICF SUP World Championships

Hi, my name is Chris Macdonald. I’m a SUP (Stand Up Paddleboard) racer from York, United Kingdom. In November this year I will be racing in the ICF SUP World Championships in Florida. It has always been a dream of mine to race in a world championships and I believe I’m at a level where it is worth competing and putting myself out there against the best paddlers in the world. I have been paddling for 10 years and been racing seriously for the last 2. A summary of my results and achievements are listed at the bottom. I am seeking financial support and as I currently self fund all the costs related to competing. Anyone who is kind enough to donate/sponsor me I will also be offering SUP clinics in return, either online or in person covering anything from basic safety to racing tips. All donations will go toward entry fees, travel and accommodation.

9th out of 79 in a ultra endurance 12 hour race covering over 70km.

Ultra endurance SUP crossings including the English Channel and Mallorca to Ibiza (89km).

Coached Saudi Arabia to the ISA World Championships and continue to coach the team.

Regularly finish in the top half of the pack in the British National Series.

Winner of APP World Tour inflatable open races.

3rd out of 8th in the Scottish SUP Championships

33rd out of 733 in one of the world’s biggest SUP races in Paris.

Winner of plenty of other local races across England.
