TLDR: Chris is in the hospital right now with a growth on his brain and we are raising money for his family.

We are fundraising on behalf of the Lowe family. Chris had a seizure early in the morning on January 31st. Upon further examination at the hospital, it was determined that Chris had a growth on his brain. At this time, we have more questions than answers. However, we know that Chris's family is going to need some financial support pretty much immediately. Chris is the primary provider for his wife, Shilair, their one-year old son, Grayson, and their soon to arrive daughter, Harley.

Avid Disc Golfer and active member of the Whatcom County Disc Golfing community, he does a lot of work out at Cornwall park and is a big contributor on the local scene.
He's a fantastic welder with a passion for teaching. His plan is to teach other people how to weld so they can have similar job opportunities.
Chris is a huge car fan and an excellent mechanic. He's the type of guy that fixes his friend's vehicles.

We set the initial fundraising goal at $5000 to help contribute towards living expenses. As we've come to better understand the medical procedures Chris will need, we have upped that goal to $15,000. We fully intend to update the goal as we gain a better understanding of the potential costs incurred. We will update this page with additional information as it becomes available.

My name is Ryan Summers and I am Chris's Brother-In-Law. I have set up this fund on behalf of Shilair Lowe with her permission, although she was hesitant to accept any charity. All funds will be delivered directly to her bank account and Shilair will have sole decision-making power on how any funds are spent.
