Hello everyone, this is Laura Lemmond, we have created this account because we have received several calls, text and messages from people asking how you can help. At first, we felt that this was just something we had to manage ourselves. Chris and I would be greatly humbled to anyone who is able to donate. Chris was airlifted to Carolinas Medical Center Charlotte on May 14th, from Cheraw, SC where he was on a golf outing with friends. Thankfully, his friends noticed and change and called EMS who felt strongly he had suffered a stroke. He was airlifted to Charlotte where it was confirmed that he had suffered a major CVA/MVA to the left side. After a couple days in ICU his brain swelling increased and he under went a Hemicraniectomy to allow for his brain swelling so he spent a week in ICU, so our medical expenses just continue to increase. We are currently fighting with our medical insurance company to be transferred to rehab however, we have recently learned our health insurance has only approved 15 days of a hospital stay. We may be looking at the balance of our stay to be self-pay. I am trying to work every day and also be at the hospital with Chris to help with his recovery. Our children are helping with our 4 legged children making sure they are feed and cared for. We never thought this would be our journey but, it now is so we will do whatever it takes to overcome our struggles. Our faith gives us the strength and all the prayers we have received has given us positive energy to know we will get through this as we have gotten through other struggles.  Anything you can help with is greatly appreciated.
