I am asking that everyone who has the means help Chris' family in this time of need. During this stressful time, I hope we can all pull together to ease the financial side. Due to a lack of Life Insurance coverage, funds will be used to cover the cost of the funeral services and assist Cathy during this transitional period.

It is with broken hearts that the family announces the unexpected passing of Christie (Chris) Robert Jones. On Friday December 6th 2019, at the age of 64, Chris suffered a heart attack while at work.
Sweethearts since High School and married for 44 years, he is survived by his wife Catherine. He also leaves behind many loving family members: son Lee (Casey), daughter Cate (Alex), grandson Liam, brothers Barry (Janet), Drew, Alec (Teri), and nieces Melissa, Samantha, Ashleigh, Amanda, Brittany, god-daughter Brandy, and their families.
He will be fondly remembered for his exuberant laugh and great sense of humour. The eldest of four brothers, he took great pride in passing on the Jones name. He had immense love for his family and will continue to be cherished by all who's lives he touched.
He grew up in the Ottawa area, attending Bell High School and Algonquin College. Chris worked hard his entire life, most of his career spent at Beaver Lumber, Bell Canada, and in recent years, Carleton Environmental Services. Never one to spend money on himself, he was always most concerned with supporting his family.
Chris always made time to be involved in community sports organizations. He coached Stittsville minor softball and fastball, was Vice-president of the Stittsville Minor Softball Association, and a member of the Munster Lob-ball League. You could find him at almost every one of his children's sports games, whether it be hockey, basketball, baseball, rugby, etc.
Chris was happiest when on the water. Favourite memories included: growing up at the cottage on Aylen Lake, boating with his Wisconsin family, and weekends on White Lake with dear friends.
