Chris Hood, Medical and Loss of Income

Hi, I am Chris’s older sister Bobby-Jo, and we received some pretty unexpected and startling news this weekend. Chris was finally able to find a PCP and see them after months of waiting (thank you for your persistence Teri). After some unfavorable blood work he was sent for a stress test, which landed him in the ER, from there he was admitted and is now facing a triple bypass open heart surgery on Monday 3/18 at Dartmouth. He’s 43. (Surgery happened 3/19)

He and Teri and friends were scheduled for a cruise next week - their first real vacation. That’s a no-go for them

His health plan has a deductible of $5k+.

He will be out of work during a 2-3 month recovery time. Teri works alongside of him and cannot do her job without him. Daycare requires payment to hold his spot whether Colton goes or not. It’s all very overwhelming and unexpected.

I know Chris has supported so many others in their hard times and I hope that we can return the favor by taking pressure off of them during this challenging time.
