Help Chris Hendon Recover from Brutal Knife Attack

Hey - I'm setting this campaign up for my old buddy Chris "Tank" Hendon, with his blessing, to help with his medical and mounting bills. I've known Chris since the 90's and we've each aged and settled down, him just recently moving from The Bronx to New Rochelle; so imagine my surprise to hear he nearly lost his life, last week, in a truly gruesome stabbing. 

** EDIT: All funds will be collected by his fiancee Christine Formisano and go directly to Chris. They live together. ** 





Saturday February 16th Hendon was the victim of a violently shocking knife attack that nearly ended his life.

He was stabbed 8 times in the head, 2 times in the neck, and 4 times in the shoulder.  This graphic gets cut off at the shoulder but you get the idea... each of these requires multiple stitches and healing.



The doctors told Chris he could have died. It was incredibly serious and we're fortunate he's still with us. But fighting for his life has left Chris with mounting medical bills, as well as no way to work during recovery.

Anyone who knows "Tank" knows he's tough as nails. He has a fighter's spirit and will recover from this both mentally and physically.  But the injuries and stab wounds Chris endured are extremely serious and will require extensive medical follow ups, physical therapy, and plastic surgery to fully recover from. 

Every penny raised here goes directly to Chris and his recovery. 

It's too early to say what the long-term physical effects will be, or the final financial burden. But we do know that for the time being he needs to keep the lights on and to receive medical care while recovering from this nightmare attack. 



Personally I can tell you that helping this fella' means a lot to me because I've known not just Chris but also his parents and family for decades. Tragically, they buried Chris' younger brother Joey - a veteran and young father -  only a few years ago and the whole family deserves a "win" in their column having been through so much, so recently. Please give what you can. Even if it's just sharing on social media with others who know Chris, or knew his bands, and music.

By the way Chris LIVES for metal and after getting stabbed 8x's in the head, is obviously the most metal person you will EVER know!!! So share this with metalheads because right about now, the guy could use the love...
