Its hard to believe that Chris has been gone 3 months. It seems like yesterday that we were arguing about the Bruins. My sisters and brother talked about honoring Chris in some way. Chris loved hockey and at the beginning of treatment joined me in coaching a U14 team. He quickly formed a great rappirt with all of the kids on the team. Chris spent time encouraging the kids and berating the referrees. My brother and sisters are going to raise money to offer kids in Dorchester Youth Hockey a scholarship for the season in Chris's name. We will ask each boy or girl in the program to write an essay on what makes a good teammate. We will choose the winners and follow them on Chris's facebook throughout the year so everyone can share in the experience. If you would like to donate anything will help and it will go 100% to scholarships. Chris would love this.
