On Sunday 27th July 2025, Darlington Spartans FC will proudly host the 2nd Chris Greaves and Andy Blair Memorial Day at Longfield Academy.

Following the success in 2024, we will once again have 2 tournaments running to remember Chris & Andy, with two winners taking home trophies named in commemoration of them.

Chris passed away in July 2022 after an impactful life where he was not only a loving father and grandfather but also a dedicated teacher at Wyvern Academy and a well-remembered coach at Blackwell Rangers. His eldest son Will, is one of our founding members at Darlington Spartans. In memory of Chris, half of the funds raised during our event will go to ManHealth, a local men's mental health charity.

Another one of our founding members, Alex, sadly lost his father Andy in October 2016. Andy was a devoted father to Alex and Emily and had a huge passion for football, where he passed on his knowledge as a coach at Allstars. Andy battled strongly against cancer and it is an honour to remember him with half of the funds raised at our event going to Cancer Research UK, to strengthen our fight to end this disease.

As well as the football tournaments at Longfield Academy(9:30AM-2:30PM), we will be hosting plenty of family fun activities on Sunday 27th July. We will have food and drink available on site, with a portion of sales going back into the fundraising pot. Please join us for what promises to be an excellent day.
