Help support Chris and his fight.

Chris originally hired on with Crowder in 1999. He has become more than a friend. Chris is part of the family.

He and his family could use our help right now; below is their story as written by his daughter; Tiffany:

In January of 2022, dad was diagnosed with stage 4 small cell carcinoma, involving primarily the liver, which is extremely rare. Due to the aggressive nature of this cancer, doctors gave him high doses of chemotherapy three days a week, every 21 days. Dad became very sick in March/April.
After rounds of strong antibiotics, he began chemotherapy again. The chemotherapy caused him to have an internal bleed and anemia, which caused him to be hospitalized. The doctors said he had a stroke behind his eyes which caused some vision loss.
Since then, Dad's liver has begun to malfunction, causing fluid to build up in his abdomen. Once a week, Dad has to have the fluid removed from his abdomen by a process called paracentesis.
Due to his health, Dad has not been able to go to work. He pulled his camper out of Florida in July and is now home in NC. Dad has several upcoming doctor's appointments for re-checks, fluid removal (each week) and GI doctor visits to discuss the next steps.
We are praying for a liver transplant. As his daughter, I am hoping to be a living donor for him. We have an appointment next week to find out the next steps.
Medical bills and insurance when someone cannot work can be extremely stressful. Thank you to everyone who took the time to read our story.
