Thank you for visiting. My name is Tiffany, I’m Jay Friend Sr.’s wife and Chris Friend Jr.’s sister-in-law. I’m running this fundraiser on behalf of Chris’s family. The initial 20k goal was met in 3 days (amazing) and was just a starting point.

If you know Chris, you know how much passion he brings to the things he loves, including his family, friends and motorcycles.

On Friday, November 25th Chris suffered serious injuries in an off-road motorcycle accident at Ocotillo Wells SVRA in California. On the way back to camp, he was tossed off his KTM and shattered part of his thoracic spine, leaving him paralyzed from the chest down.

He was life flighted to Palomar Hospital where he underwent extensive surgery to stabilize his spine and hopefully recover neurological function. Unfortunately, we were told earlier today that the paralysis is permanent.

Chris has the fight in him to recover and find his new normal, but he is going to need help. At 49 years old, he has so much life ahead!

Right now we are focused on his comfort and care at the hospital, but conversations are already in motion about accommodations to his home and transportation.
