On Friday August 27, 2021, my brother-in-law, Chris was found unresponsive and despite multiple attempts to save him, he was called home too soon. He gained his heavenly wings and was reunited with his father, Felipe, Jr, mother, Josefina and sister, Jasmine. 

This loss happened very unexpectedly and our family is still in shock. There are no words to express the heartache that has fallen on our family, and it just kills me knowing the ton of hurt felt by his wife and two daughters. There’s just no way to prepare for something like this, however we are trying to do all we can at this time so Lori doesn’t have to stress with the burden associated with planning a funeral.

Chris honorably served his country in the 1st Battalion 11th Marines United States Marine Corps (USMC) where he met Lori and started his family. 

Chris had a kind heart and has touched the lives of many with his laughter and corny jokes. He was a very supportive and great husband to Lori, and a great dad to the girls. I saw that he did embarrass Lori and his kids quite often, but we always had a good laugh from him and the kids never disowned him. 

That’s one of the things I truly admired the most about him, he was true to himself and being himself is what attracted people to him. With his partner Jon, he helped establish Softroad Nation to share his passion for his truck. He impacted a lot of lives there and his memory will live on with tons of wonderful stories cherished by the members. There’s just a lot to say, and I’m sure most of you have a wonderful memory with Chris.
