Chris Foockle Cancer Treatment

In the midst of the COVID 19 Pandemic there are still other illnesses of life and death. Christopher Foockle, age 51 and the son of the Reverend Harry Foockle of Kansas City, Missouri has recently been diagnosed with metastatic bone cancer.
The cancer was confirmed after a bone scan on the 30th of June 2020. Sitting in the doctor's office he discovered that his insurance carrier ~ a health share group, would not pay for any of his treatments. In fact, they refused to pay for the bone scan because it used radioactive dye.
The cancer has spread to Chris' spine, clavicle (collar bone), pelvic area and various spots throughout his body.
The doctor has advised hormone therapy as the appropriate course of treatment. It does not kill the cancer, but it can reduce it's spread and may allow for several years of life. If the treatment does not start within the next couple of weeks the situation is dire and life threatening.
The therapy consists of hormone injections that cost thousands of dollars per treatment. Chris will need one shot a month along with other prescribed medications to control pain, other needed testing and scans and many doctors visits.
It looks like Chris may be able to get on the Affordable Care Act during the November sign-up period. Until that time all medical expenses are out of his pocket. We are talking many thousands of dollars. He is moving into his parents home so there is someone to provide care for him as needed. His family is standing by him and paying what they can, but the costs are beyond what they are able to pay.
If you wish to help, we have set up this Go Fund Me Page. The bank who will receive the funds is the Security Bank of Kansas City and it will be overseen by Mr. Tom Bricker, of Gladstone, Missouri. Tom is the property manager at Antioch Community Church and will ensure that all funds will be used to care for Chris and his medical care.
