Chris Elmquist's Help After Surgery

Donation protected
Last month, Chris Elmquist had a blood clot in his right leg. After 6 surgeries to correct the issue (to include an artery replacement), he is still having issues, and possibly needs more surgeries to get back to full recovery.

Chris is a small business owner in St. Paul, and without the ability to continue upholstering furniture, he needs your help.

What's at risk?

His livelihood AND his business. His business is The Furniture Specialist, which was established in 1999. The Furniture Specialist is a local family owned business, consisting of Chris, his brother Keith, and their mother Barb (Bubba). Without Chris at their shop, they aren't in a position to keep up with the demand of their customers, being 50% of the everyday labor ability is currently missing.

Meanwhile, his bills are still stacking up. Besides his personal bills that everyone else may have, his business bills are adding to the pile of bills that can't get paid.

More About Chris Elmquist

Chris Elmquist may be the most giving person anyone will ever meet. If anyone needs or has needed anything that Chris can help them with, he is there at a moments notice , regardless of the cause or circumstance.

A few years ago, a single woman had her house burglarized in St. Paul, and Chris showed up to board up her smashed in back door, within an hour of it happening. While he knew the woman a little bit, he showed up to help a somewhat stranger in a time of need, no questions asked, without ever charging her a penny. That is just who he is.

Chris has helped and continues to raise money regularly for the St. Paul K-9 police. He still has a sign in his front yard to support their unit and cause. Additionally, Chris contributes to various causes through Montgomery Lodge in St. Paul, Osman Shrine, and The Scottish Rite.

When a friend broke his back and neck last year, Chris showed up with a lift recliner, and helped that family through their tough times. He's the guy that everyone loves to have as a friend in their life.

Clowning Around

When Chris isn't working, he spends time helping the Shrine hospital . He helps gain sponsorship and advertising for the Osman Shrine Circus. He is a driving force behind ensuring the success of many children based charities in the Twin Cities.

RiteCare Contributions

One of the children's charities Chris works hard to promote and do fundraising for, is RiteCare of Minneapolis-St. Paul . From hosting various fundraising events, to direct contribution of time and energy for various activities, Chris has always been a person they can and do count on.

The Ask And Need (Where You Can Help)

Montgomery Lodge #258 has set up a spaghetti dinner  on April 28, 2019, in an effort to help contribute to our dear friend and brother, in his extreme time of need. Our overall goal to help Chris in his time of need, is to raise $15,000+, to aid his recovery process. We are hoping to exceed this goal, in an effort to help his financial recovery be a little bit easier.

Every dollar counts, whether it is directly through this GoFundMe campaign, or attending his spaghetti dinner. We hope to help Chris get back to doing what he loves, which is servicing his clients at The Furniture Specialist, helping his children based charities, and spending quality time with his loving family.

Thank you for considering this campaign, and potential donation to an amazing person, in his time of need. You are what can make a tremendous difference in the life of someone who needs you. Every dollar gained, is less dollars needed to help Chris in his time of need.
