This fundraiser has been established for United States Navy Veteran Chris Dryden, who is bravely battling a significant health challenge. He is currently facing Late Stage 4 AdenoCarcinoma. During this difficult time, Chris was staying with his girlfriend of 4 years, Carlisa, who tragically lost everything when her home was one of the first to burn to the ground in the Palisades. As a result, Chris has lost not only his recovery space but also the loving support he desperately needs. He requires essential therapy items, assistance in fighting this daunting diagnosis, and a clean, healthy environment to aid in his recovery.

Chris tells his timeline:

Dec 6th entered ER /VA hospital seriously ill & was admitted NGR (no food & water) with complete blockage of my small bowel.

Dec 9th

Surgery on Small Bowel and Tumor extraction in order to be able to go to the bathroom. Surgeon (Dr. Tomlinson) upon me waking from Anesthesia says "Chris , I'm so sorry!! Tumors are Everywhere ."!! I'm Stapled closed with 32 staples.

Dec 9th - Dec 26th NO FOOD or No WATER

Dec 26th - Released from VA Hospital West LA

My girlfriend Carlisa graciously moves me into her home to care for me in Pacific Palisades.

A place I was able to breath while Recovering from Surgery.

Things going really well while settling in and Carlisa taking me to my appointments.

Jan 7th

The Palisades Fire begins with Carlisa' home one of the 1st to burn to the ground. Fortunately we were able to get her pets out safely. But, without being allowed to take cars in, it was a complete loss.

Jan 7th - Displaced

Jan 13th - Emergency room with another blockage. Admitted into the hospital for a potential 2nd surgery. But that wasn't needed

Jan 15th

Released from VA with Late Stage 4 Adeno Carcinoma. Having lost 30lbs plus , being displaced from the Fire, i am in great need. As this is the Fight of my Life.

One important note:

This cancer is Very Rare and it Very Aggressive!!

Had I have taken Chemo , THEY CANNOT SCAN TO SEE IF IF IN FACT IT HELPS OR NOT!!

The Chemo which they suggest, is NOT proven to even help!!

The ONLY GAUGE is after 4 months , the Doctors ask me how I'm feeling? This is the standard ... I could run body into the ground and it does nothing....

I've decided to go without it!!
