Chris Driskell Medical Expenses

Donation protected
In May of 2021, Chris Driskell was diagnosed with a rare and inoperable brain tumor in the pineal gland which has continued to progress rapidly despite many forms of treatment. Chris & Rachel are parents of 6 children and Chris has been unable to work over the past 2 years leaving Rachel to be the sole provider for their family. During 2021 Chris has suffered seizures, endured several brain surgeries which resulted in lengthy hospital stays and has also persevered through many forms of treatment, all in an effort to slow the progression of the tumors. In November of 2021, Chris’ MRI revealed news that the family most feared, his tumors and cancer have spread throughout his brain and spine. This includes a large tumor on his cranial space causing a brain stem hernia and his spine which is placing pressure on his spinal cord which could result in paralysis. Due to the rarity of Chris’ cancer (known as PPTID) there is no prognosis but at this point his oncologist are no longer treating curatively but palliatively and he is now under the care of hospice.

Chris’s wife Rachel is a wedding photographer serving the Bryan/College Station area for many years and has been honored to be a part of capturing memories for hundreds of couples on their special day. Chris & Rachel have been happily married for 14 years and her passion for weddings stems from her love of Chris and the journey of marriage. She loves helping couples celebrate the start of their marriage which is so much more than just a party and a ring. Over the years of her marriage to Chris they have enjoyed both the ups and downs of life together and honor each other and their family with love through it all.

Therefore, friends of the family are working together throughout the month of February, a month best known for celebrating love, to host both an in-person fundraiser and this online fundraiser. The in-person fundraiser, "The Power of Love" event, will be hosted at Peach Creek Ranch the evening of Tuesday, February 15th and feature eats & sweet treats, music by Rob the Hat, and a silent auction. We hope you will support this wonderful family through this difficult time by donating any amount or attending the Power of Love fundraising event.
