It is with deep sadness I report of the passing of Chris Cutler. Chris was my son-in-law, married to Marla. He died last week while out of town working on a fishing boat. As the sole support for his family since Marla's accident, he had deep responsibilities. He and I spoke at length last month about how he wanted to bring a better life for Marla and the childen. He told me he had to step up. Four months following her car accident, Chris anxiously wanted to return home and see everyone, but knew he needed to keep working.
I ask you, how much more can one family endure? Marla's health continues to be a great concern as she has two 12" steel bars in her back. The grief and loss my daughter and grand children are going through is tremendous and breaks my heart. I am asking, once again, for prayers for my family, that they may have the strength to get through this, especially the kids, Zoe, Meadow & Cody.
If you can provide advice for Marla, please don't hesitate as she is struggling to figure out the next moves to make. A husband and father is gone now. How will she raise these kids? Everyone will tell you that Marla is very resourceful; however physically she is in constant pain and cannot work; emotionally, at this moment I can only guess what she's going through.
GoFundMe guides us to tell you what the funds donated would be used for. Money will be needed to bring Chris home and make arrangements. Also the family needs the basics: rent, utilities, food. No extras, no frills. My daughter has indicated anything would be appreciated. To put it bluntly: they, literally, have no money. Truly a bleak future.
Chris was a unique individual and I feel lucky to have known him during his time on earth. I thank you for any consideration.
