On June 25th, 2023, Chris suffered from a heart attack that has now impacted his life in many ways. He faced 100% blockages on most of his heart and the doctors rushed him to surgery. They then found a blood clot and were not able to perform the surgery until his heart strengthened. He then had 5 bypass surgeries on Monday, August 7th to install a heart pump. He had been doing well with recovery until they decided to remove the heart pump on August 16th. This resulted in him suffering from a stroke and he lost mobility on his right side and ability to speak. He has since been going through therapy to regain his mobility and speech and has a long road ahead of him to fuller recover. On behalf of Chris, his family and friends have come together to create a way to help relieve him and his family of medical expenses during this time.
