3 years ago our good friend Chris “Bronx glass” Proffit was diagnosed with lupus and neuropathy. A few months later his wife files for divorce. Lawyers have cost him what the drs didn’t when he had a multiple organ infection this summer, & couldn’t work for 2 months. His credit has been maxed by his significant other, and as we already know, Bronx is a 1 man army. As an artist it’s hard enough to get by without a stack of emotional and physical setbacks.

Just before thanksgiving his lathe, the primary tool for making his art had a mechanical issue, and his website was shut down.

At this point he been reduced to sleeping in his glass studio just so his kid isn’t forced to live in constant trauma.

About a week ago while plugging in a hdmi cable to the tv in his shop, it broke loose from its mount and fell 15 feet directly to the top of his skull which has given him a serious concussion that never mind being able to work, has made it so he can’t sleep, be awake, or do anything else. Our friend has had terrible hand on top of terrible hand stack up on him, and is being forced out of his home and left in a spot he doesn’t deserve.

The object of this gofundme is to relieve some of the pressure and allow him to get the medical care he needs as well as a stable environment to live and take care of his daughter.

Let’s help our guy do what he does best, crush out crispy clean fumed glass with edges sharper than the devils tail, and get some sense of relief.

All funds go directly to Chris. I’ve known Bronx since i was 19, we learned to blow glass on my national, and have never stopped. My man’s is one of my closest friends from literally way back.
