I’m Dills (Chris Blevins) sister. As most of you know dill received a double transplant 4 years ago. He has been struggling here and there with illness since but about a month ago he landed himself back at Cleveland clinic due to fungal meningitis. Unfortunately he continues to decline and is now in the ICU.

This downhill spiral started last Saturday the 25th

Saturday: Dill was very tired but was Able to converse with us. He was only awake for about 5-10 minutes at a time. I made a joke about how I was going to contact Machine Gun Kelly’s people and tell them he’s a super fan to come visit him since we were in Cleveland he was NOT happy about that haha. He did have slight fevers through the day.

Sunday: He developed an extremely high fever, began to be very disoriented talking all kinds of crazy stuff but still Able to answer questions. They ended giving him oxygen because he was breathing very hard and fast like 40 breaths a minute. Only away for minutes at a time as well.

Monday: fevers continued, kidney (transplanted for years ago) took a big hit from all the antibiotics and medication he’s been on the past few weeks. Breathing heavy, super confused and frustrated. He was talking to people and his Dog tank who passed away last year . Some of these conversations Natasha May Brown, and myself were having with him were quiet funny lol. He picked up a little this day and was pretty spunky he slapped moms hand, yelled at her about the usual stuff and even flicked Sister off these all made our spirits bright❤️ we we’re definitely hopeful that he was taking a turn for the good and we went to bed feeling some comfort.

Tuesday: we FINALLY got the news that they were transferring him to the ICU we have been asking since Sunday for this! His breathing got worse, and he just declined over night. They did a CT scan and found that he had fluid on his brain now. Which was not there last Tuesday (the 14th) when they did a cat scan when he fell out of his bed and hit his head. And pneumonia again. His blood work wasn’t great but he had gained 8lbs from last week making him a whopping 90lbs very tiny and frail

Wednesday: they intubated him. His body is so tired from working so hard. They were supposed to get an MRI done but never did! However we didn’t get much of an update.

Thursday (today): they Finally took him down for an MRI. The first look at them they don’t believe the fluid on his brain is infection they do think it’s spinal fluid. The fluid seems to be “stable “ meaning it’s not progressing. Now to figure out why and if the meningitis is back. He is now weighing 112! Which could be from the fluid and whatnot. But we are moving in the right direction! They will be doing a bronchoscopy soon to clean out some of his lungs. His lungs don’t look much different from the last ct scan. He did squeeze the nurses hand today and opened his eyes. They will continue to keep him sedated for now.

He was removed from the vent 3 days ago Sunday the 26th. And was doing good!

Monday he was ready to bust out of this place! Even tried to call Uber to get him from his ICU room lol.

Tuesday night (last night) he was good, mom left the hospital to go to the hotel room for the night. He was texting our dad. At 9:30pm he coded. He was without a heartbeat for 6 minutes (we were told 4 last night but 6 this morning during rounds) we have no idea what is happening! We do know we need all the prayer she can get right now!!

I created this to help relieve some of the burden from my parents with the hotel costs, gas for my dad driving back and forth and whatever my parents need help with at this time. Mom has been off work for a month now to stay with Dill. Once he was admitted into the icu she could no longer stay in his room. Last weeks hotel stay was over $1500 and we are now onto week 2 of the hotel! You would think Cleveland clinic patients and parents would get better rates! Each night at the hotel is $169 including taxes! This is the closest one which we want to stay here because mom was able to make it to the hospital within minutes of him coding!
