On the evening of January 30th, while on the way to clean off some planes, Chris was rear-ended while stopped at the red light on the corner of Minnesota and Spenard rd. The driver (a 15-year-old with a learners permit and a friend in the car) hit the back of his truck going approximately 45 miles an hour resulting in back issues that are currently preventing him from doing much physical activity, including clearing planes of snow, detailing, and other services currently provided by his business. He has made multiple trips to the ER due to back pain and has not been able to work since then.
To top that off, on February 14th, Chris was getting into his truck, when a women backed her car into the driver's side door, pinning him against the driver's side seat and pinning the door against his backside and thighs, causing additional physical damage to his back and now to his left thigh, leaving nerve damage that he hopes is temporary.
Current treatment plan is six months of physical therapy twice a week with the goal of getting him back to work sooner rather than later. However, his doctors do not anticipate clearing him to work at full capacity for at least two months, if not longer. A re-evaluation will be done in two months to determine the next course of action. Currently, he is only able to work in a very limited capacity - basically just able to to spot cleaning using his plow.
His lack of being able to work has caused severe depression due to worry about letting down his current clients and how he will pay his bills.
He has tried to hire a lawyer to assist in these accidents but is being told that his case will not generate enough for the attorneys to make it worth it for them.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
