My name is Leilani Filipanko, I am the sister of Christopher Cordero (48) who is now not only fighting for every minute but possibly for his life and is in need of not only a spiritual miracle but also financial help.
While on a much delayed and deserved vacation in Hawaii with his wife, Christopher, although unvaccinated by personal choice, began to experience flu-like symptoms and difficulty in breathing. After going to a local hospital he was quickly admitted with not only pneumonia but also covid 19. After only a few days of moderate treatment he quickly progressed into a critical status and needed to be intubated (assisted breathing tube). Within only 24 hours of that, it was determined that he was in need of a more aggressive and advanced treatment of what may possibly be a last (possibly life-saving) ditch effort treatment with what is known as an ECMO machine which literally takes control of his entire body (heart, lungs, and blood circulation).
Christopher continues every second of the day with the assistance of some of the best and highly qualified medical staff around to fight for every possible inch of positive ground.
This will be a long and drawn-out battle that may continue for quite some time and and will without question incur a heavy cost. Even though their personal insurance will cover a portion, it will not cover everything, including the daily expenses incurred by his wife, being as close as she can to him in a nearby hotel awaiting for every hopeful positive update.
