Chris and family survive cancer treatment
Donation protected
Dear friends,
I’m reaching out to ask for your support for my grandson, Chris Leverett. Chris was recently diagnosed with tongue cancer and will undergo surgery on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Trident Medical Center in Charleston, SC. The procedure will involve removing the tumor from his tongue as well as all the lymph nodes in his neck. Doctors will reconstruct his tongue using tissue from his leg. After surgery, Chris will spend 7-10 days in the ICU and will face a long, difficult recovery—including extensive therapy to help him eat and speak again, and likely radiation treatment.
Chris is self-employed as an electrical contractor and unfortunately has no health insurance. As you can see in the pictures, he has a beautiful family who will be by his side, but his road to recovery will be both painful and costly. We set the goal modestly, but we truly don’t know how much support will be needed.
If you’re able, please consider helping Chris and his family through this trying time—whether by donating, sharing this post, or keeping them in your thoughts and prayers. Any support means the world.
Thank you so much for your kindness and compassion. ❤
