Chris & Cheryll Andrews Urgent Medical Relief Fund

On March 12, 2019, Cheryll saw her doctor for a suspected kidney stone. The stone was so large, Cheryll would need surgery to break up the stone so it could pass. The surgery was put off until March 15th, as Cheryll has a previous family history of a complex and life threatening condition which can result from anesthesia during surgeries. On Thursday, the 14th, Cheryll was sent to the ER with sepsis due to the blockage in her kidney, and an emergency surgery was scheduled to take place immediately. As a result of the emergency surgery, Cheryll did end up with Malignant Hyperthermia. She has been unconscious, on life support in the ICU since the 14th of March.
Cheryll is a wonderful Christian wife, mother and friend. She and her husband have 8 children together. Her youngest daughter is not even 4 months old. She a faithful and active member of her local IFB church in Crawfordville. Chris and Cheryll have always been compassionate to others in need, and strive to serve and be a blessing to those whom the Lord puts in their path. Cheryll is always so full of love and wisdom from God's Word. The testimony of this family during this trying and heartbreaking time has been a blessing to all of us who know them. Chris has been a faithful witness of God's love and provision to those whom he has met in the hospital. He has given the gospel to many people at the hospital, and helped several trust in Jesus Christ as their Savior.
Our fundraising goal is to help the Andrews family with the financial aspects of life during this tragedy. Chris is the sole bread winner for the family, as Cheryll is a dedicated keeper at home and homeschooling mother. Chris will use the last of his PTO in the next few days. He will then have to make a choice to leave his unconscious wife alone in the hospital and return to work, or lose his income while he continues to take care of Cheryll and help her recover. Although his income will stop, the mortgage and utilities and food and gas expenses still need to be paid. There will also be considerable medical expenses from the hospitalizations, recovery therapies, treatments to help Cheryll recover from the her ICU stay, and anticipated home health care costs. We will be keeping this campaign updated as more information about Cheryll's path to recovery becomes more clear.
