Donate to Help Chris and Bruce Rigney's Daughter

I love to help people, and very rarely ask others for help. So, I’m not used to doing something like this. I have always managed to figure something out and push through tough times on my own. I’m really good at financial planning and budgeting, which has been vital to my ability to come out on top of things in the past!

Well, here’s the situation: I need some help y’all. I have had one too many heartbreaking curve balls thrown my way the past two years, and I’m working hard to come back from it, but I could use some help.

The data is: A lot of unexpected challenges have been thrown my way in the past two years. Losing my dad, Bruce Rigney, unexpectedly in August of 2023 was a devastating blow. My son and I moved to a new place with my mom, Chris Rigney, to help her with expenses and bills and so I could care for her due to her health issues. About a year after his passing I had to dissolve my dad’s company Rigney Graphics, after 42 years in business (which had been a vital source of additional income for me). Just as my mom and I were gaining some financial footing, Hurricane Helene brought a flood that wreaked havoc on our home and lives in September 2024. We lost so many irreplaceable things and had to bounce around from AirbnB to AirbnB before we found a new place. We were financially drained and had to go into debt. And last but not least, just days after moving into our new home, two months ago, my mom was hospitalized briefly and passed away. This has been really hard for me, but I have kept a positive attitude and certainty that things will get better!

The solution is that I’ve started this GoFundMe to help cover the previous outlay of monies associated with the hurricane and rehoming, back bills, and costs related to my mom's passing. Any support you can offer, whether it's a donation or simply sharing this campaign, would be greatly appreciated and will help me get out of the massive hole I’m in. I’m actively searching for a second source of income to ensure that I can keep everything rolling once I get caught up!
