All our income is from ticket and bar sales, which means that with the coronavirus situation we currently have no money coming in. But we still have bills to pay, and starting up again is going to cost plenty of money too. With a 110-year-old building there are constantly strains on our finances to keep going and at the moment we are very, very stretched.
With no sign of any re-opening and no income we really need donations to help us survive. If we get through this we will continue to bring plays, comedy, films, family shows, music and more to the town and keep you entertained - but we can only do this with your help. Even if we could re-open tomorrow we’d still need to pay for upcoming shows and, importantly, do work to make the venue safe for audiences. The safety of our returning audiences is vitally important and so there are additional costs for us to make this old building safe for return, so every penny will go towards our future.
Everyone who pledges now will go on our Wall of Fame, preserved forever as a supporter of local arts. Thank you for you patience, generosity, understanding and support.
