Help us raise funds for pediatric cancer! Talented xrds teen singers & musicians will perform in our 3rd annual CHORDS2CURE concert benefitting pediatric cancer research.
Jaxon Blumenthal was diagnosed at age 11 with Hepatoblastoma, a rare form of pediatric liver cancer. He underwent 6 grueling rounds of chemotherapy and a full liver transplant. He was treated at UCLA under the care of his oncologist, Dr. Federman and Dr. Busuttil & Dr. McDairmid (liver team).
Statistics and Facts:
1 in 330 children will be diagnosed by cancer by the time they are 20.
Every day approximately 250 children (around the world) die of cancer every day.
The cause of most pediatric cancers are still unknown and are very different from adult cancers…
And yet only 4% of the federal government’s total funding for cancer research is dedicated to children’s cancers.
2/3 of all pediatric cancer survivors will have long lasting chronic conditions from cancer treatments. Therefore — we MUST find a cure!!
On Sunday March 19th at 7pm XRDS high school teens & special guests will perform in the 3rd Annual, CHORDS2CURE concert at The Moss Theater at New Roads School in Santa Monica to raise money for pediatric cancer in honor of fellow musician, singer, cancer survivor & friend, Jaxon Blumenthal.
A few years ago when in 7th grade, Juliette Pegula (his close friend) decided to organize and perform this special concert with Jaxon and their talented peers to help raise money for pediatric cancer research as they were worried about Jax & it is the most underfunded of all cancers. Xrds singer/songwriter/slam poetry artist & cancer survivor, Mafalda Von Alvensleben joined the teens to make a difference and now spearheads Chords2Cure along with Juliette & Jaxon (& their moms).
Chords2Cure has raised over 50k in the past 2 years with funds directly benefiting Dr Federman's research at UCLA Mattel's Children's Hospital. Please help with our annual concert & make a difference for kids & teens battling cancer!

To cover the cost of the theater, we need to raise $3400. We want to reach our fundraising goal of $5,000 so that we can pay for our venue as well as giving the remaining funds to make a difference for children afflicted with cancer. We will be giving the money raised directly to Dr. Federman, Jaxon's oncologist at UCLA who is making great efforts in research to find a cure for pediatric cancer. All of the proceeds from our concert & silent auction go directly to Dr Federman's research! Your donation makes a huge difference! Please help us make this happen! Chords2Cure is proud to feature all donors & sponsors in our program!!
