HELP CHOPPER WIN
HIS CANCER BATTLE ️
Chopper is fighting for his life, and I am facing a massive mountain of veterinary bills. He just underwent his 4th major surgery to remove a fast-growing tumor, which cost nearly $6,000. I have also officially started his chemotherapy treatments, which cost $800 every single month. My total veterinary costs have now crossed a staggering $20,000. I am drowning under the weight of these ongoing medical costs, and I desperately need your help to keep him fighting.
Chopper is My Whole World
I got Chopper in 2016 during a high point in my life, right after earning two medical diplomas and landing a director position. But in 2017, my world flipped upside down. I was diagnosed with a lifelong health condition, went through chemo, IVIG, steroid treatments and many surgeries, lost my career, and was declared disabled.
I wanted to be a mom so bad but I never got to have children because of my health, so Chopper became my child.
Through the darkest parts of my health battles and the hardest seasons of my personal life and past relationship, Chopper was my constant. He gave me a purpose and a reason to keep going. I truly don’t know where I would be without him.
The Reality of Our Situation
I am currently living on a fixed disability income, which doesn't even cover my own basic necessities like my car payment, regular bills, and my own ongoing medical costs. Because my income is so limited, I am stretched completely to my absolute limit trying to do everything humanly possible to pay for Chopper's treatments. I am drowning in these veterinary bills and simply cannot do this alone.
His Diagnosis & Cancer Fight
My baby was diagnosed with anal sac adenocarcinoma (anal sac cancer) and has also dealt with a separate mast cell tumor. Unfortunately, the cancer has metastasized (spread) to the lymph nodes inside his body. Operating on his internal lymph nodes is far too dangerous, so we have to leave those alone and rely on chemo to fight them.
Chopper has now fought through four major surgeries total. Last year, he survived three operations, two in his anal area and one to remove three large tumors from his stomach. Recently, an internal tumor, in his anal area, grew to the outside, requiring this emergency fourth surgery to clear the blockage so he can go to the bathroom. Without these surgeries, it is truly a choice between a costly operation or saying goodbye to him.
He is worth every single battle. Despite everything he is going through, Chopper is not suffering. Every single day, he still acts like a complete lunatic 2-year-old puppy. He wants to play, he wants to go do things, and his spirit is completely unbroken. He does get sick sometimes from his chemotherapy, but I have been successfully controlling that with anti-nausea medications to keep him comfortable. He has so much life left to live, and he is fighting so hard to stay here with me.
Between the surgeries, routine ultrasounds, and daily medications, the bills have been staggering.
Now, with this recent $6,000 surgery and his ongoing $800/month chemotherapy, I am doing everything I can just to keep him alive and comfortable.
