Chop and Dip
Donation protected
Hi everyone, as most of you know my daughter Ava and I made the decision some time ago to donate our hair to the Rapunzel Foundation. We will be donating 14 inches of hair each and we would like to raise a bit of "bob" at the same time for two charities.
The reason we are doing this is in memory of one very special Lady, my Mum Eileen. Mum was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on the 13th October 2017 and sadly lost her battle to this horrible illness on 16th November 2017. In the early stages of her treatment we spoke about hats and wigs. Losing your hair can be extremely hard for some people to come to terms with along with battling an illness. I made a promise to Mum that I would donate my hair to help this cause and Ava decided to do the same. "Whoever gets yer hair will be very lucky" Mum said at the time.
There are so many families out there being hit with this terrible illness every day. Just one simple word....Cancer.... and your world comes crashing down. Families need help and our chosen charities need support in order to provide this help.
As I previously mentioned we have chosen two charities, the money we raise will be split evenly. I am donating to the Irish Cancer Society while Ava is donating to Aoibheann's Pink Tie - National Children's Cancer Charity.
But that's not all Folks, on the 9th June I will be joining a bunch of ladies to support a friend. We are doing Strip and Dip the World's Largest Skinny Dip to Break the Guinness Book of World Records...... the sea won't know what hit it!!!! I can already see Mum doubled over laughing at me tearing down the beach wearing what I was wearing the first time she saw me..... in my birthday suit!!!!!!
I hope you can support and make a small donation. Thank you all so much for taking the time to read this, Orla and Ava xxx.
