Choosing myself in Paris...

For most of my life, I’ve operated in roles that required strength, discipline, and responsibility. Soldier, Leader, Provider, and most importantly, Mother. I’ve spent over two decades serving others. In the military, I’ve dedicated myself to taking care of soldiers, often putting their needs before my own. At home, I’ve poured everything into raising my sons, Angel and Gabe, doing my best to give them stability, love, and guidance through life’s challenges.

Like many parents, my journey hasn’t been easy. One of my sons has struggled with addiction, and as a mother, that is a weight I carry every day. It has strengthened me, but it’s also something I’ve rarely allowed myself the space to process. Through it all, I’ve shown up for my children, for my soldiers, and for everyone who has needed me.

I’m proud of that. But I’ve reached a point where I recognize something important; I’ve mastered showing up for everyone else. Now it’s time to intentionally show up for myself. This isn’t about escape. It’s about alignment. I am in a season of rebuilding, physically, mentally, and emotionally. I am committed to becoming a stronger, more grounded, and more disciplined version of myself. That requires space to reflect, reset, and move with intention.

I’ve never been to Paris.

For a long time, I saw it as something I would only experience under the “right” circumstances, when everything felt certain and aligned. Over time, that perspective shifted. I’ve learned that waiting for perfect timing can delay meaningful experiences that I am fully capable of creating for myself. The one person I am guaranteed to spend my life with is myself. So now, I’m choosing to go, on my own terms. Not waiting. Not attaching it to a specific moment or condition. But choosing to move forward with clarity, self-trust, and intention.

This trip isn’t about luxury. It’s about creating space to reconnect with who I am outside of service, responsibility, and survival.

As a single mother, I’ve prioritized stability and responsibility for years, which makes something like this difficult to fund on my own right now. I am open to support from those who believe in investing in growth, discipline, and personal transformation. This is not a request rooted in lack; it’s an invitation to support a woman who is actively doing the work to evolve.

If you choose to contribute, Thank you. If not, I respect that as well. Either way, I will continue to move forward with clarity, discipline, and intention.

How the funds will be used:

• Flight: $1,200
• Accommodations: $1,000
• Food and local transportation: $800
• Experiences and cultural activities: $700

Estimated Total: $3,700

To account for taxes, fees, and unexpected expenses, I’ve set my goal at $4,000.
