My name is Daniela, and 11 years ago I made a decision that changed my life.
I began this journey weighing 478 pounds. Today, I don’t know the exact number on the scale, but I know I am no longer that woman. And that means more to me than any number ever could.
For 11 years, I have worked patiently, naturally, and with deep love for myself and my body. This was never just a diet; it became a lifestyle. A commitment to feel good physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I didn’t just lose weight… I learned what I was carrying.
I learned about emotional weight. About responsibilities that were never mine. About wounds that turn into pounds when we don’t heal them.
I had to ask myself hard questions: What am I really hungry for? Why can’t I just have one cookie instead of the whole box? What am I trying to fill?
Through awareness, discipline, and self-love, my body and I built a deep relationship. We healed together. We chose each other every day.
This month, I am scheduled for surgery, a step that represents not just physical transformation, but the final shedding of what I have already released emotionally. Letting go of skin that once protected me. Letting go of a chapter that held my history.
I am happy. I am prepared. I am nervous. And I am trusting.
However, during the process of preparing for surgery, unexpected medical and personal expenses have come up that I was not financially prepared for. After much hesitation and encouragement from friends, I’ve decided to ask for help.
My goal is to raise $12,500 to cover these unexpected surgical and recovery-related costs so I can move forward safely and fully supported in this next chapter of my healing.
It is not easy for me to share this. I have always worked hard for everything I have. But I also believe in community, in vulnerability, and in allowing others to support you when you need it.
If my journey has ever inspired you… If it resonates with you… If it moves you in any way…
I humbly ask for your support. Every donation, no matter the amount, brings me one step closer.
Self-love saved my life. Choosing myself changed my life.
And if sharing this touches even one person, then my vulnerability has purpose.
Thank you for reading. Thank you for believing in me. Thank you for helping me accomplish this goal.
With love, Daniela
