Chomper's Accident: A Plea for Aid
Donation protected
Chomper is full of personality and energy. He is everything you want a dog to be... a fierce protector and a snuggly best friend. He is also my alarm clock, my lesson in patience, and my reason for vacuuming daily. Not to mention, he is one handsome dude.
On Memorial Day 2025, for reasons unknown, he decided to go through the front picture window. After six hours at the emergency vet, I have my boy home... sedated, sutured, and sore. Unfortunately, more vet visits are in store... and I need to replace the window.
While I was able to cover the initial emergency vet bill from my savings, there isn't enough remaining for subsequent vet bills, not to mention the replacement of the window.
I haven't yet explored options for the window. Tempered glass, polycarbonate... I only know that I can't go with regular glass again. I'll be speaking with a local glass company to discuss options and obtain a quote. But that will be after a couple of days nursing Chomper back to health.
I've always prided myself on my self-sufficiency, but I wasn't prepared for this. So in keeping with the dog theme, I've tucked my tail between my legs and am asking for help.
Thank you in advance for your consideration and prayers. Chomper and I are grateful for both.
