Choir of Hope: Winder's Path to Healing

Dear Friends and Family,

I hope this message finds you well and in good spirits. I’m writing to share something very close to my heart—an exciting and deeply meaningful endeavor I’m stepping out in faith to pursue.

As many of you know, music has been a cornerstone of my life since childhood. From leading youth choirs and singing solos at eight years old, to directing large-scale citywide choirs and mentoring young talent across the country.

On September 6, 2024, the small, quiet town of Winder, Georgia—the place I’ve lovingly called home for the past ten years—was forever changed. Our town became known across the world, but not for a good reason. That day, was the tragic shooting at Apalachee High School (my local high school), and we lost four precious lives: two teachers and two students. Winder will never be the same. The weight of that loss has shook our entire community to its core.

Today, I’m thrilled to announce the launch of a dream that has been in my heart for many years: The Children’s Community Choir of Winder—a nonprofit organization dedicated to nurturing young voices, building confidence, and creating a safe, joyful space for children to heal through the power of music.

Our mission:

We bring healing, hope, and unity by connecting cultures and building bridges through choral singing, character growth, and performance opportunities. By cultivating leadership and inspiring excellence, we enrich the educational and social journey of young people, preparing them to shape a better tomorrow. Together, we create a world of harmony where every voice is valued and every heart is filled with hope.
