“This is not about the kind of grits that come in a box. Chocolate GRITS don’t come in a box, but most definitely can be found. The Chocolate GRITS I’m talking about ….. are Black Girls Raised In The South!” -Excerpt from my poem, “Chocolate GRITS”.

The poem depicts vivid images from my childhood, which sparked the idea to create the Chocolate GRITS™️ Apparel line. It’s an expression of the pride that I feel about being raised in the South and I want to share that pride with other Black girls and women.

It's never too early, and never too late, to pursue a dream that you know will make a difference. This is why I'm starting this line, that will prepare me for the bigger projects ahead. You helping me with this will be the tipping point that will make what's to come possible. Thank you for your encouragement, believing in me and being apart of my journey.
