Help Sweet Chloe Heal and Find Her Forever Home

On a normal morning walk with my dog, we stumbled upon a heartbreaking sight — a dog tied to a fence, alone and bleeding from her ear. There was no one around. I rushed my dog home, grabbed some treats, and returned to check on her. She greeted me with the gentlest, most hopeful eyes, wagging her tail timidly as we got to know each other over a handful of treats.

I couldn’t leave her.

I untied her and brought her straight to a local vet, where the incredible team jumped into action. They performed a full stray work-up — blood tests, x-rays, ultrasound, and vaccinations. We found out she had recently had a litter, and the bleeding was from scratching at a large tumor in her ear. Luckily, the surgeon was in that day and was able to remove the tumor and send it for biopsy.

We’re calling this incredibly sweet and brave girl Chloe. She’s now safe, recovering with me and my dog as I work with local no-kill shelters and her vet to find her a loving forever home.
