Chloe's Road to Recovery Post Liver Transplant

As a parent, one of our worst fears is one of our children becoming sick, and even worse becoming so sick that they require a life saving surgery. Well a week ago, this fear became a reality for Morgan when Chloe started not feeling well. After taking Chloe to the hospital, she was admitted and treatments were started right away. After staying at Wake Med Pediatrics for several days and multiple treatment attempts, they received the news that Chloe needed to be transported to Duke Medical Center incase she would need a liver transplant. Chloe was transported to Duke on November 19, 2021 and they immediately resumed treatments. Unfortunately she was not responding to treatments and needed to be placed on the list to receive a liver transplant. On Saturday, Morgan had started to prepare to donate a portion of her liver because time was of the essence and Chloe may need the liver transplant before one became available. After lots of prayers, Morgan received the call today, November 21st that they had found a liver for Chloe. There were still test that needed to be ran to make sure this liver was viable but prayers had been answered. Chloe will be having liver transplant surgery early Monday morning, November 22nd. Chloe, Morgan, and McKenna need your prayers more than anything during this time but there will be expenses as well to help with the care needs during Chloe's post transplant healing process. Thankfully, Chloe's surgery will be covered by insurance but as we all know there are other expenses involved. Morgan will be home caring for Chloe for a while after she is discharged, driving back and forth to the hospital, help with McKenna, food, normal bills, and it is the holidays. If you can find it in your heart and are able to help in any way, please do so. Morgan will be the only one who has access to these funds and will use them for what she needs assistance with.
