Chloes Road to Everest

Hi , My name is Chloe and along side my very good friend (Tom Boreham) we are climbing to Everest base camp in October 2023 in hope that we can raise as much money as possible for me to give back to Macmillan cancer support!

Early last year in 2021 I was diagnosed with Endometrial Cancer which resulted in me having a full hysterectomy and going into a medically induced menopause at such a young age but in a turn around of 7 weeks and with a bit of help from Edna (Colchester's first da Vinci surgical system robot) I was cancer free from 8th March 2021 since then I have had continuous and ongoing support from Macmillian and I honestly don’t know where I would be without them! (Especially Alan from Macmillian and part of Colchester’s cancer well-being Centre) Ild love to be able to give back just a snippet of what they have given me and what they continue to support me with.

Myself and Tom are booked with Evertrek to climb for 14 days until we reach Everest base camp and fly our 6 foot Macmillian banner !!! I would love to create awareness to other young women about how important itis to go for your smears as prior to this I had never realised that Endometriosis can turn into cancer… So ladies please please go for your smears!

Money raised will go directly to Macmillian cancer research as I can’t thank them enough.

Donations from you will make such an enormous difference, for example it costs £31 per hour to fund a Macmillan Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNSs), who help to treat and manage patient’s health concerns and work to promote health and wellbeing.
