Hello, My name is Chloe Sansom I am 13 years old and I've been selected to represent the East Region of Scotland the 2027 World Scout Jamboree (WSJ) In Poland! To get to this stage I had to go through a very meticulous selection process and I am very proud of myself for getting in. To take part I have to raise £4,000 and plan to do many fundraising events to reach this goal. To find out how I plan to do this please read below.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet thousands of scouts from all over the world and I am very lucky to have been selected. I will learn so many skills, have amazing adventures and make friendships that will last a life time.

What is the World Scout Jamboree? The WSJ is one of the largest outdoor events for youth globally. It is held every four years and brings together tens of thousands of scouts aged 14 to 17 from round the whole world. The jamboree offers a unique opportunity for young people to make lifelong friends with people globally.

To make this dream happen, I need to raise £4,000 to cover the Jamboree fees, travel, and equipment. This money also helps those in less wealthy countries be able to experience too. I will be doing lots of different fundraising events including quiz nights, coffee mornings, bag packing and a massive sponsored cycle.

I am going to be doing a sponsored cycle that is the equivalent distance from Perthshire to Gdansk, Poland. This will be done over the course of 2 years. To find out more information about this challenge please see my website : https://chloensansom.wixsite.com/pedal-to-poland.
