Chloe's Hope and Healing Journey

Family and friends, I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing with a heavy heart to ask for your support for my 14-Year-old granddaughter Chloe Moreau. The daughter of Lynn and Christian Moreau.

Over the past few years, Chloe has been struggling with severe emotional pain. Leading to feelings of hopelessness and three suicide attempts, unfortunately this pain has also resulted in Chloe to self- harming herself as a way of coping with overwhelming emotions. While these struggles have been ongoing for some time, her condition has worsened significantly in the past several months.

After exhausting all available options in Nova Scotia, including various counselling, outpatient, and inpatient services through different hospitals including the IWK Health Centre, Lynn and Christian have made the difficult decision to send Chloe to a specialized Mental Health in house treatment facility for teens located in Toronto Ontario. This facility is equipped to provide the level of care and support Chloe so desperately needs to address her mental health struggles in a safe and controlled environment.

The treatment program comes at a significant cost of over 16000$ per month and Chloe will likely need to remain in treatment for several months to receive the comprehensive care she requires. In addition to her treatment itself your generous contributions will help cover Chloe and her parents travel to Toronto and ongoing support she will need when she returns home to her family.

Lynn and Christian, Chloe’s devoted parents have spent their entire life helping others Christian a dedicated Royal Canadian Mounted Police Officer and Lynn as a former Paramedic and Continuing Care Assistant, have traveled across Canada and worked with Nunavut Communities. They have both given so much of themselves to others and now they find themselves in

need of support as they navigate this challenging and heartbreaking situation for their daughter.
