My Cancer Journey

Donation protected
Nice to meet you, my name is Chloe and I'm really tired of life.

I was diagnosed with both cervical cancer and severe endometriosis this year and I'm struggling mentally, physically and financially. The symptoms of cancer were hidden by my chronic pain. The endometriosis is so severe I started treatment the same day, I have to have implants surgically injected into my abdomen every 28 days to induce menopause to stop the tissue growth in preparation for surgery. It has infiltrated my bowel and I might end up with a stoma/colostomy bag. I have already spent months off work and my doctors have signed me off work entirely, being self-employed I have no income.

Why support me
The last three months have been a whirlwind of CT scans, MRI's, X-rays, ultrasounds and blood tests and treatments. I have my second surgery for the cancer soon, a selective hysterectomy for the endometriosis and I could use some support.

I have a mountain of costs including medication, transport, parking, meals, lost wages for myself and my partner and speaking from the heart, I haven't had a holiday in ten years, It would be really nice to have something in the future to look forward to during my treatment.

If I don't need to worry about bills for a while, I can focus on my surgeries, treatment, recovery and mental health - which has taken a big hit during this time, I have been trying for a baby for years so that is now pretty much off the table and the darkest moment of my life was crying in the arms of a loved one telling them I didn't want to die, its been tough.

I'm starting therapy soon, my willpower is strong, my life has been a difficult journey and I'm only starting to crack which makes me proud. I hope this will be my last hurdle.

I have had many people asking if they can help, so please help by donating and sharing this Go Fund Me to support me in my darkest hour.

Medical Conditions
When I was six years old, I became very sick. My body swelled from oedema, I vomited all day every day and nothing was making me better. At 7 years old diagnosed with a rare kidney failure - Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (7 in a million are diagnosed per year). I was transferred to Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children where I continued to decline. I had both kidneys removed and spent years on peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis waiting for a kidney transplant.

At 15 I got a kidney transplant, but the surgery was botched by the hospital. The surgeon attached the donor kidney to an ovarian cyst and not the bladder. The cyst filled with urine and burst, which filled my abdomen with urine and burst my stitches. I had urine coming out of my surgical wound onto my hospital bed, I only got a half-assed apology 10 years later.

I have spent my whole life in the hospital, having numerous procedures and always in and out of surgery. Living with a chronic illness is very difficult but I always do my best. Until now I have refused disability benefits and tried to make my own way, but now I'm struggling too much to cope and financial support is an 8-month wait.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story. With your help I can start to take my life back. Any contribution, big or small, would be immensely appreciated and make a significant difference in my life. We are forever grateful for your support.
