Chloe's battle with leukemia

Hi, my name is Melanie and I am fundraising for my sister Valerie and Chloe's dad Nicolas Barbe to help them relieve the financial pressure for the year that is awaiting them.

My niece Chloe was diagnosed with leukemia in 2022. After 6 months of chemo she finally was cancer free. She relapsed in January 2023 and received a bone marrow transplant in April 2023. Everything went well and around September 2023 she started living her childhood again. It didn't last long has she relapsed again in December 2023. She received her second bone marrow transplant in May 2024. She was finally cancer free and starting to live life once again. Friday November 22nd Chloe was admitted to the hospital with a fever that led to her being induced into an artificial coma because of an infection in her lungs. She has a long road ahead both parents have stopped working to be at her bedside. We are fundraising to help take the financial stress off their shoulders while they care for their daughter.

Mon nom est Mélanie et j’aimerais ramasser des fonds pour aider ma sœur ainsi que le père de Chloé, Nicolas Barbe, pour alléger le stress financier des mois à venir. Ma nièce Chloé a reçu un diagnostic de leucémie en 2022, alors qu’elle avait 8 ans . 6 mois après avoir débuté la chimio, elle est tombée en rémission. En janvier 2023, elle a malheureusement fait une rechute et a dû recevoir une greffe de moelle osseuse en avril 2023. Par la suite, elle a un petit répit et, bonne nouvelle, elle est en rémission. Ce fut de courte durée, car elle fait une autre rechute en décembre. En mai 2024, elle reçoit une deuxième greffe de moelle osseuse et, après quelques semaines, elle est de nouveau considérée en rémission. Vendredi, le 22 novembre dernier, Chloé est entrée à CHEO avec une fièvre dû à une infection et elle a dû être mis dans un coma artificiel. Ses parents ont dû arrêter de travailler pour être à ses côtés. Mon souhait est donc d’alléger leur stress financier pour qu’ils puissent se concentrer à 100% sur la guérison de leur fille.
