Hi my name is Ellen, I'm fundraising for my 27 year old daughter who has just had to have lower leg amputation.

She has had an awful 25 years of multiple illnesses, diabetes type one at age of 2, Addisons disease (adrenal deficiency) FND (functional neurological disorder) gastro paresis, lung issues, right eye lost sight, and the list goes on.

Back in late august early September her left ankle randomly started to swell, two hospitals said it was cellulitis, but five weeks in the antibiotics were not taking this away, her ankle was twisting when walked making her actually walk on her ankle itself, fourth hospital admission with this they finally did and X-ray to find she had Charcot Marie tooth syndrome a disorder that eats away at bone, and which if found 5 weeks earlier they could have cast the ankle to support it keeping it straight, so when the disease had come to an end they would have done surgery to rod the joint, but too late the ankle had started to set that way so all they could do then was to give her a boot, which rubbed on foot causing a blister (size of penny) the blister turned to ulcer, and ulcer took over the whole foot, going into bone, but in this time she had seen multiple doctors nurses and again left 13 weeks without any help between appointments to prevent this getting worse, the ulcer also went to two ulcers one on the bottom of foot, which led to the amputation.

Im setting this up to try and raise a little bit to try help her home coming a little bit better, as this is life changing, and not sure if all adaptions are funded by Red Cross.
