Help Chloe afford her University Fees
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
My name is Chloe and I recently graduated from the University of Aberdeen with a Bachelor of Music degree with First Class Honours. Studying music comes a lot of criticism from the outside world which often views my undergraduate degree as useless or a waste of time. Because of this, I've been determined to find a career path that uses music for the greater good of society - which led me to develop an interest in research within the Music Therapy field.
I have accepted an offer from the University of Stirling to do an MPhil project that seeks to examine the effects that music and exercise have in conjuction for individuals with cognitive decline - with close attention to Dementia sufferers.
Naturally I am super excited about this opportunity, however, it does come with its challenges. Originally, this started as an unfunded PhD project which would involve implicating protocols involving music and exercise in care homes around Scotland for residents with Dementia that suffer from sundowning. Due to my lack of personal funding, the most affordable way to start this project was as a masters student with the intention to progress in to this PhD role should I find adequate funding. However, at the moment, I am looking for donations to help me afford my masters fees and any other unexpected costs that come with starting a new degree (such as books, technology, moving etc.) As we all know, the cost of living is taking its toll on everyone but especially on new graudates looking to progress in their studies. Anything you can spare would be greatly appreciated!
