Help Me Fight for My Future

Hello everyone,

My name is Chloé Connors, and I never imagined I’d find myself in this position—setting aside my pride to ask for help from my friends, family, and community. But this battle is bigger than me, and I need all the support and prayer warriors I can gather. I’m humbly reaching out for assistance to fight for my future.

Less than a year ago, I had a stable life: a home, two jobs, and a car. Now, I have none of those. Since May 2024, my life has been in free fall, and I’ve been struggling to keep my head above water.

Why I’m Asking for Help

I’ve been wrongfully charged with felony possession in Hancock County. I was never actually found in possession of any substances, yet here I am—caught up in the system. There’s no direct evidence against me; it’s all circumstantial. I genuinely believe both of my cases could be dismissed with the help of a competent criminal defense lawyer—not a public defender balancing multiple cases. I need someone in my corner, fighting solely for me. I’ve already lost so much just by being entangled in this process.

One of the hardest losses was my beloved Akita, Luna. She was stolen while I was incarcerated by the very people who had agreed to care for her until my legal issues were resolved. She was my rock, and losing her shattered me.

Urgent Need

My pre-trial is on April 23, 2025—just two weeks away. I need to act swiftly to ensure I have a fighting chance in the courtroom. You might wonder why I’m reaching out so close to the date. The truth is, I believed I could handle this battle on my own. However, during my brief three-week incarceration, I realized I needed to lean on my support system for help in any way they can.

Without a criminal defense lawyer, I will likely have to accept a plea deal or face extended probation for crimes I didn’t commit. I’m not claiming to be perfect—I’ve made my share of mistakes—but I don’t believe it’s just to be punished for something I didn’t do.

This Is Not a Scam

Sharing this story and asking for help publicly is a last-ditch effort to obtain proper legal representation. It’s incredibly difficult and uncomfortable to expose the less glamorous aspects of my life, but here I am. I kindly ask that you refrain from judgment or slander based on any preconceived notions.

How You Can Help

A good criminal defense attorney costs between $5,000 and $8,000, and I simply don’t have that kind of money. I’m not seeking sympathy or a handout—just a fighting chance. Every dollar donated will go directly toward hiring a defense attorney who will genuinely advocate for me.

If you can’t donate, please consider sharing my story. Spreading the word could make all the difference. If you have any housing leads in Hancock County, know of any legal resources, or just have words of encouragement, I’d be deeply grateful.

I refuse to let this define me. I still believe in myself and my ability to build a life that’s meaningful and fulfilling. I’ve made questionable choices and surrounded myself with people who didn’t have my best interests at heart in the past, and I’m tired of enduring loss after loss. I see the potential of what my future could hold—I just need some help getting there.

Thank you for reading, for caring, and for being part of my comeback story.

With gratitude,
Chloé
