Funds For Wendy

On October 8, 2021, our niece-in-law, Wendy Kurtz, went in for a screening mammogram and was called back into the office on October 19 for a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound. After a biopsy of the breast and lymph nodes, she received the call on Friday, October 22, that it was, in fact, positive for breast cancer, namely, Invasive ductal carcinoma, stage 2. On Tuesday, December 14, Wendy- a Waycross native, currently residing in Springfield, GA, will undergo a Single-side mastectomy with sentinel nodes biopsies (possible removal) and immediate reconstruction. She will be out of work for approximately 6-8 weeks. While she does have health insurance, Wendy has not been on her job long enough to merit earning very many personal days; therefore, she will not be compensated for the 6-8 weeks that she’ll be out of work. She is the mother of four sons, 3 of which are school-age, still living at home. Larry and I- along with our entire family- have been praying for a way in which we might help her in this hour of need. We feel led that this Go-Fund-Me page may be an answer to our prayers.
