Chito Talaboc Memorial Fund

Conchito Talaboc lived with his family in Queens, New York. He is survived by his wife, Rosemer Talaboc and three kids, Alistair, Wernher Michael and Trisha. Chito bravely fought cancer for 6 years. He was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, Blastic Plasmacytoid Dendritic Cell Neoplasm in 2011 and received aggressive treatment from top oncologists/leukemia specialists, including a stem-cell transplant. He was only given 14 months to live, but he defied the odds. For five years, he went on remission and spent that time bringing his family closer together, supporting friends and relatives, serving the church and his beloved Christian group—the BCBP (Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen and Professionals), building a business with his daughter, and supporting a number of charities. At the end of 2016, he was diagnosed with AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia) due to a mutation caused by treatments of the first cancer. He battled the disease for a year and received the best documented treatments that exist given by leukemia specialists in New York. He was brought to the hospital last week due to recurring fever. It was then brought by oncologists to his family’s attention that his leukemia has been very resistant to all of the cancer medications (chemotherapy and trial-treatments), and is taking over his body despite aggressive efforts to eliminate the illness. His health rapidly deteriorated but he remained extremely positive and fought until the very end for his friends and family. He went on to be with the Lord on January 14, 2018 9:20AM. His wife and three kids were right by his side until his last breath.

He has touched countless lives, inspired so many individuals and served the Lord our God with all his talents every day.

Proceeds from this gofundme page will be used to cover medical bills and funeral expenses. Most importantly, a portion of the proceeds will go to Leukemia and Lymphoma-related cancer research in memory of his dedication to help other people battle this terrible disease.

Any amount will be appreciated. Cash and checks sent directly also accepted. Tip to GoFundMe is optional but any amount you give helps maintain this platform. God bless you.
